In a statement to the press, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women, Ghania Eddalia, who presided on Wednesday in Algiers, accompanied by Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Mohamed Aissa , a luncheon in honor of these hajis, indicated that they are 118 hajjes chosen among the elderly and poor, including 51 women, from different parts of the country.
Mrs. Eddalia affirmed that the ministry had made sure " to gather all the conditions for the success of this operation of solidarity, through the taking of the necessary measures, in order to ensure a good stay to the hajj in the places Saints ", announcing the mobilization of a team of administrators and doctors equipped with necessary equipment and medicines, in addition to guides in charge of the guidance and accompaniment of hajis.
The minister called the hajis " mutual aid and solidarity and comply with the guidance and advice of the team accompanying it, while ensuring a positive image of the Algerian hajjis and to represent the country well ". On this occasion, she praised this initiative " laudable ", decided for several years by the President of the Republic, through the care of poor people to enable them to perform the rites of the hajj.
For his part, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Mohamed Aissa, indicated that " all the necessary conditions were met in order to ensure the well-being of the hajis, during the accomplishment of the pilgrimage . "
