The British company has confirmed that it has received a provisional assignment letter for engineering, procurement and construction valued at US $ 543 million in Algeria.
Under the terms of the contract, it was agreed to create an Entry and Compression Separation Center in Ohanet (In Amenas). The contract includes a pipeline network of approximately 400 kilometers to connect 36 wells, as well as commissioning, start-up and performance testing of facilities within 36 months.
"We have continued to develop our presence in the country through a number of major contracts with Sonatrach, including the Alrar and Reggane projects," said the manager.
Petrofac was notably in competition for this contract with the Italian group Tecnimont & Bonatti or the American KBR, a former subsidiary of Haliburton.
