Algeria – President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika flew yesterday, Monday, August 27, to Geneva, Switzerland, to carry out "periodic medical checks", confirmed the official news agency, quoting a statement of the presidency.
According to our information, the presidential aircraft, a Gulfstream IV (GLF4) SP registered 7T-VPM, took off from the Boufarik military airport at 16:00, bound for Switzerland. The GLF4 landed at Geneva airport at 5:45 pm (Algerian time).
A few hours later, at 9 pm, the presidential plane left the Geneva airport to return to Algeria.
The Head of State starts, according to our information, his medical checks on Tuesday at the Geneva Hospital. These medical examinations were scheduled for last June, however, President Bouteflika had to postpone them to settle internal affairs.
