Algeria: Surrender of Terrorist Leader Sultan Ould Bady

Algeria – Sultan Ould Bady, whose real name is Abzou Aïssa, head of the Katiba Salaheddin affiliated to Daesh, surrendered today, Saturday, August 11, to the military authorities of Tamanrasset.

Sultan Ould Bady, involved in several terrorist attacks with AQIM before joining IS, including the kidnapping of Swiss and Canadian nationals in Mali, was in possession of an FM-type machine gun, a packed ammunition magazine, a Kalashnikov-type machine gun and 250 rounds of different calibres.

This dangerous terrorist, according to DND, joined the activist terrorist groups in the Sahel region in 2006 and is one of the most prominent leaders of these groups.

"This operation is in addition to the record of the positive results achieved in the fight against terrorism, and confirm the efficiency of the various approaches aimed at the eradication of the scourge of terrorism of our country.", Estimates the DND.
