Border post of Tebessa: a young arrested with 2.2 million euros!

Algeria – A young Algerian was arrested yesterday, Tuesday, July 31, at the border post of Betita, in the wilaya of Tebessa, in possession of a huge sum in euros.

Only 26 years old, this young Algerian tried to illegally transfer the sum of 2.2 million euros to Tunisia, we learned from the Algerian customs.

Carrying out a thorough search of a vehicle, customs officers at the Bentita border post discovered this huge sum in euros.

According to our information, this is the largest foreign currency seizure made this summer at the border crossing points of the East.
