Cholera in Algeria: 59 confirmed cases among 172 suspects

Algeria – The Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform released today, Tuesday, August 28, a new assessment of the cholera epidemic that has spread in Algeria since August 7.

In this new report, the Department of Mokhtar Hasbellaoui reports 59 confirmed cases out of 172 hospitalized cases.

The 59 cases of confirmed cholera were recorded in 5 wilayas, namely 30 cases in Blida, 14 in Tipaza, 11 in Algiers, 3 cases in Bouira and one case in Medea, says the Ministry of Health.

According to the same communiqué, 66 people have been allowed to leave hospitals so far.
