Illegal Enrichment: The Five Generals-Majors Retrieve Their Passports

Algeria – Released on November 5, the five generals targeted by an investigation for "illegal enrichment" have retrieved their passports, learned ALG24 from well-informed source.

It was on September 15th that the passport withdrawal of the five Generals-Majors had been decided, a few days after their entry into ISTN (prohibition to leave the national territory).

Detained and then targeted by an investigation for "illegal enrichment", these former senior army officers were remanded in custody by the Blida military court on October 14, before being released for more than 20 days later.

As a reminder, these are Major-General Menad Nouba (former Commander of the GN), Saïd Bey (former Commander of the 2nd RM), Abderrazak Chérif (former Commander of the 4th RM), Habib Chentouf (former Commander of the 1st RM) and Boudjemaa Boudouaour (former Director of Finance at DND)
