Spanning reception of RN Bordj Menail-Cap Djinet in the 3rd quarter of 2019


Algeria – The project of splitting an 11.7 km axis of the RN24 linking Bordj Menail to Cap Djinet, east of the capital of the wilaya of Boumerdes, is scheduled for commissioning in the 3rd quarter of 2019, it was reported Monday, the local director of public works (DTP).

This important road, crossed daily by at least 20,000 vehicles, also joins the RN24 (also called coastal road), connecting the city of Boumerdes with that of Dellys, in the East and the administrative borders from Tizi-Ouzou, told the APS Mrs. Bouhafsa Naila.

This doubling of the road, launched in July last year, was endowed with an envelope of nearly one billion dinars, she added, signaling its registration under a major project, having has already enabled the commissioning in late 2017, a corridor of this dual track, one-way (RN 24) between the region of El Kerma (Boumerdes) and Oued Issers Cap Djinet, 15 km.

According to the studies of this project, still in progress, it extends from the city of Corso, in the North, passing by Boumerdes to join Dellys, in the East, and from there, the administrative borders of Tizi- Ouzou, emphasized the DTP.

The completion of this double lane will connect the coast of Boumerdes to different national roads and wilayas and thereby "reduce congestion recorded on this part of the road, especially in summer season", she said assured.

Ms. Bouhafsa has also reported on other road projects aimed at avoiding the city of Boumerdes, like the ring road to link Tidjellabine and the coastal region of Sghirate, for 10 km, in addition to the project of doubling the RN24, from the El Fouiss city of the city of Boumerdes to its eastern entrance, 2.5 km.

Another duplication was put into operation on the "Ellouz" road, connecting the RN 24 and 5, over six (6) km, in order to streamline the traffic at the level of the eastern and southern entrances of the city of Boumerdes. , while avoiding the road connecting Boumerdes to the RN5, through Tidjelabine, theater of monster jams, in recent years, said the same source.
