two suspected cases of cholera, health services reassure citizens

Algeria – Two cases, suspected of cholera, were received at the emergency services of Ahmed Ben Hadji Hospital, in the wilaya of Relizane.

The two people suspected of suffering from the cholera epidemic are a 39-year-old woman and her 2-and-a-half-year-old son, who come from the wilaya of Tipaza. In fact, the symptoms of cholera appeared on the two suspected cases, which forced the health services to isolate them and take charge of them.

The director of health services at the hospital, moreover, reassured local citizens that no other case has been recorded and that the two suspected cases are under control.

The two cases are still unconfirmed and the health services await the results of the analyzes from the Institut Pasteur.
