Dr. Kriba also reported that the rate of diabetes is nearly 3% and that of Hypertension 5.6%, diseases that can cause kidney failure .
Noting that 24 patients are waiting for a kidney transplant, she added that more than 430 specialists and 933 general practitioners are managing the renal failure in the 350 hemodialysis centers scattered throughout Algeria.
