GHAZA – A total of 312 Palestinians, including 57 children and six women, were killed by gunfire by the Israeli occupation army in 2018, said Monday the national gathering for the families of martyrs in his latest report.
The report states that 271 Palestinians were killed in the Ghaza Strip and 41 in the occupied West Bank, noting that the average age of the victims is 24.
Rally General Secretary Mohammad Subaihat said that 2018 has been the bloodiest year for more than 30 years.
The Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) "Abdallah Al-Horani Center for Studies and Documentation" reported last Wednesday that the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation army since the beginning demonstrations of the "Great march back" in March 2018 amounted to 253 deaths including 45 children.
During these marches, some 25,477 Palestinians were wounded, 13,750 of them by live ammunition, he added.
Among the wounded are 4,379 children, 2,050 women, 460 members of rescue teams and 263 journalists.
