CHAHID EL HAFED – The Polisario Front has put forward the day after its meeting with Morocco in the framework of the round table held in Geneva, the firm will and unshakeable determination of the Saharawi people in their struggle for freedom and independence, while calling for speeding up the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2440 to guarantee to the Saharawi people their right to self-determination.

He condemned, in this regard, "the barbaric intervention of the Moroccan occupation forces that spared neither women nor men nor children", calling, at the same time, the UN to assume its responsibilities and intervene urgently to put an end to the blatant violations committed by Morocco against the Sahrawi civilians.
The Bureau urged the UN to work to "stop the plunder of Saharawi natural resources, expose the fate of the missing and release political prisoners who languish in Moroccan jails, like the group of Gdeim Izik" .
On this occasion, the Polisario Front hailed the Saharawi Liberation Army which "fulfills its noble missions, namely the defense of the sovereignty of the country and the protection of the liberated territories against the dangers and threats lurking in the region. . "
The permanent office highlighted the mobilization of the Saharawi people "against the plots laid by the enemy and his willingness to sacrifice himself further until the completion of the sovereignty of the Saharawi state through the whole of national territory ".
With regard to the participation of the Saharawi delegation in the Geneva negotiations, last Wednesday and Thursday, the emphasis was placed at this meeting on the necessary acceleration of the implementation of the provisions of the resolution 2440 of the Security Council, through the resumption of direct negotiations in good faith and without preconditions between Morocco and the Polisario Front, the only legitimate representative of the Saharawi people.
The Permanent Bureau reiterated, for this purpose, the commitment of the Polisario to support the United Nations efforts for decolonization in Western Sahara, the last colony of Africa, by allowing the Saharawi people to exercise their inalienable right self-determination and independence, in accordance with the UN Charter and Resolutions.
