EN: Bougherra presumed as deputy of Belmadi after Gambia

Algeria-While EN's new technical staff already has 3 technicians, former Green captain Madjid Bougherra could complete this component after official confrontation against The Gambia, announces the sports daily Competition.

On 18 August, the new coach Djamel Belmadi announced during his presentation to the press, the staff that will accompany him throughout his career. But contrary to what was announced in the local press, the name of Madjid Bougherra was not on the list of deputies of the former star OM player.

In this regard, Belmadi was interviewed by a journalist to find out if "Bougy" was in his future plans. The coach's response left some doubt. "Madjid Bougherra is still in a club that gave me the chance to become a coach. So out of respect to this club I could not call him now, "said the former Qatar coach at the Sidi Moussa CTN.

That said, according to an information relayed by the daily newspaper Competition, Madjid Bougherra should not delay to join the EN. Indeed, the former Glasgow Rangers player would have finally found an agreement with his club, Al-Duhail, allowing him to combine the two functions.

Thus, who currently occupies the position of U23 coach of Al-Duhail will continue his work most normally in the world, but he will be released by the management of his club at each FIFA date to join the Greens. That said, the officialization of this information should not take place before the meeting of September 8 which will put EN and Gambia against the backdrop of the second qualifying day for the 2019 African Cup.
