Cameroon: More than 70 abducted students in the Anglophone North West


At least eighty-two people, including 79 students, were abducted on Monday, November 05, 2018, in the North West region of Cameroon, where an armed conflict between separatists calling for the independence of the country's English-speaking areas and the Cameroonian security forces, a government source told AFP.

The principal of the Presbyterian Secondary School in Bamenda (northwestern regional capital), a teacher and a driver were also abducted by unidentified gunmen, the source said. The kidnapping of the students was confirmed to AFP by a source close to the school.
