Fires in California: 71 dead, the number of missing exceeds 1000 people


Thousands of firefighters continue to fight against the most deadly fires, the deadliest in California's history. According to a latest report on Saturday, 71 people have died, the number of missing persons climbed to over 1,000 on Friday, authorities said, which also reported eight more victims.

The number of missing people increased from 631 on Thursday to 1.011, said Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea at a press conference.

Authorities announce eight more casualties, the provisional toll of the Camp Fire is now 71.
