Algeria – Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is expected in Algiers tomorrow Monday, the official agency (APS) reported on Sunday (November 4th).
This visit "is part of the promotion of high-level political dialogue between Algeria and Italy which are bound by a Treaty of friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation, signed in Algiers on January 27, 2003, by the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and his Italian counterpart, "said the Presidency of the Republic in a statement, quoted by the APS.
The two countries are bound by the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation since 2003.
Thus, the visit of Conte will notably strengthen bilateral relations, "to exchange on issues of common interest, at the Mediterranean, Maghreb and Sahel," says the same announcement.
It is also expected that Algiers and Rome will also have a strategic dialogue on political, security and counterterrorism issues, which is an "important mechanism for consultation," the same source said.
