Syria: 20 SDF fighters killed in Daesh ambush

At least 20 fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a Kurdish-Arab alliance backed by Washington, were killed on Friday in an ambush of the Daesh group in eastern Syria, where terrorists are cornered in a final cut, reported an NGO

"The fighters were advancing during a sandstorm, they were surrounded, the elements of Daesh used explosives and opened fire," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH), the time the SDS is conducting an offensive against the Hajine pocket held by terrorists in the province of Deir Ez-Zor.

On Monday, the SDS, supported by the aviation of the international anti-Daesh coalition led by Washington, launched the "Phase III Operation Roundup", presented as the final step of the offensive to put a term to the presence of Daesh in eastern Syria.
