Yemen: at least 149 dead, including civilians in Hodeida in 24 hours

At least 110 rebels, 32 Loyalists and seven civilians were killed in 24 hours fighting for control of the port city of Hodeida in western Yemen, AFP reported on Monday citing hospital military sources .

This assessment came as Iranian-backed Houthi rebels fiercely resisted the advance of Saudi-backed pro-government forces in some neighborhoods, a loyalist military source said.

A source in the anti-rabble coalition led by Ryad said the Houthis had repelled an offensive by pro-government forces toward the port.
